NRL Crowds in 2010 So Far

The NRL has got off to a booming start in terms of their crowds numbers. Currently the average attendance per game is at 17 630, about 650 ahead of last years average.

12 of the 16 clubs are averaging over 15 000 a game, with the top 5 being:
– Broncos (35514)
– Rabbitohs (20078)
– Storm (19826)
– Tigers (19743)
– Eels (18540)

The Sharks (11 925) and Panthers (12 060) are last and second last respectively.

The Storm have got off to a very positive start, with their average being nearly 8 000 more than their 2009 average. The Bulldogs sit at 4 000 below last year’s average.

Last weekend the Roosters became the first team to drop below the 10k mark for a game. In 2009 the first game to have below 10k attendance was in round 3, this year it has taken until round 6 – another positive.
