Matt Orford Kick Nominated for Covell award
For those who don’t know, a few years back Luke Covell had a kick from the sideline to potentially win the game for the Sharks. What followed was embarrasing, he couldn’t have missed by more if he tried.
If anyone can find footage of this kick anywhere, let me know, cause it is gold.
But anyway, since then every terrible goal kick has been labelled a “Covell”.
Today in the match between the Warriors and Manly, Orford came up with a woefull miss-kick and his kick will be in the running for the 2009 Luke Covell award.
