Summer in the Desert

Kyuss (Vista Chino), Eagles of Death Metal and Queens of the Stone Age all in the space of a month and a half. Only in my wildest dreams have I imagined such an incredible line-up of bands in such a close time frame. Yet with the announcement of an Eagles of Death Metal Sidewave at the Hi-Fi on the 26th of February, my dreams will come true.

Garcia and the guys again showed how its done at Big Day Out, a shining light amongst a host of lame, contrived acts, with a no bullshit, hard rocking performance. They may now be called Vista Chino but everybody knows who they really are.

Now we have Jesse and Josh to look forward to in an incredible conclusion to summer.

With a new album approaching, Eagles of Death Metal will be looking to bust out a few new tracks, which only adds to the excitement of the upcoming Australia gigs. It may be Joey Castillo who will be performing on the sticks, but the Josh Homme influence in the studio would have surely generated some awesome new tracks.
