Grand Final Pre-match Entertainment Announced
The NRL have announced an extensive pre game entertainment program for Sunday’s Grand Final. The unique line-up pays tribute the two sides playing off for the title – the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs and the Melbourne Storm.
Franz Ferdinand will pop in to the Olympic Stadium to open up the night and to get the crowd rocking with their track “Cheating on You”.
This will be follow up by Shaggy, performing his hit song “Wasn’t Me”.
The personnel from the accounts department from both clubs will then do a lap of the ground before taking their positions for a club vs club relay race. One team member will begin seated at a desk with a ledger. They must rort their book as quickly as they can before handing brown paper bags located under their desk to the next team member. This person will then race to the other side of the field and hand over the brown paper bags to the final team member. They must then attach the brown paper bags to footballs using sticky tape and proceed to pass each footy through a hole in a player shaped and decorated cardboard cutout. The winning accounts team will be presented the Salary Capless Cup.
Up next in a major coup for the NRL, the final act Metallica will take to the stage to perform their hit “Unforgiven II”.
